Sept 13 : BREADBAR hosts its first annual JAM SESSION. What's a "jam session", you ask? For musicians, it's one thing, but for bread-lovers, it can only mean something else entirely: A class on how to prepare conserves, marmelades and jellies with summer's best fruits, berries and herbs. Preserve the season with BREADBAR's new line of farmer's market inspired conserves and marmelades. We'll show you how to preserve the season in your own kitchen and follow it all up with a tasting and afternoon tea. BREADBAR west third 8718 W Third St Los Angeles, CA 90048. 4:00pm-6:00pm. Sept 20 : BREADBAR century city hosts Dr. Steven L. Kaplan, renowned historian on bread, Goldwin Smith Professor of History at Cornell University and all-around top-official 'bread-head'. Dr. Kaplan will be speaking about his new book and his recent English release, Good Bread is Back! He will also be conducting an exclusive bread tasting, and explain the process of tasting, the criteria involved and discuss his extensive taste-testing of the bakeries in Paris. Space is limited. Sept 27 - Dec 31 : BREADBAR is happy to invite local photographer Jennifer Gregori to display her portraits and photographs at BREADBAR west third and BREADBAR santa monica this fall 2008. Jennifer has photographed some of Hollywood's finest talent and will be displaying her inspiring photos for the first time at BREADBAR.

Oct 16 : BREADBAR partners with Ian Blackburn's Learn About Wine to host an event at BREADBAR century city with special Guest Chef Noriyuki Sugie. Expect an all-out evening of wine and canape-size food tastings with a live DJ and chef! For details, contact events@breadbar.net.
